Camping is not actually camping with my family. My family
goes all out when it comes to camping. Our dinners aren’t hamburgers and hot dogs, they are grilled chicken with sliced potatoes and pasta salad. Also
our family doesn’t all camp together you have the usual my family, my aunt and
uncle, my grandma and grandpa, and my great grandma and Uncle Tod. But don’t let
me worry you at around 5 o’clock our whole family (all my aunts and uncles and
cousins) come out for dinner. It is a very nice way for our whole family to get
together and see each other for the first time in months. In our area we have 3
campers and 3 tents. That’s A LOT of people. That’s 11 people sleeping here
along with 6 dogs. But during dinner time we add another 7 or 8 people so we
have around 20 people give or take here for dinner every night. When the sun
goes down and the marshmallows come out our family turns into the “loud” family
at the campground. Between someone yelling at someone to make them a drink or
my uncle throwing ice cubes at everyone it’s all fun. Sharing a bed with my grandparent’s
dogs Katie and Trigger or having to do your homework while everyone is having
fun outside, just the environment is what makes this all worth the 2 hour drive
down here to be with my family. We are such a close knit family that there will
never be a Labor Day that we aren’t camping somewhere.
